Benefits of drumming

Drumming is a powerful means of synchronising and uniting a group of diverse people. Once a team have drummed together, they may well see one another differently.

Drumming develops the team spirit and creates positive energy, motivation and enthusiasm.

Drumming uses both right and left-brain hemispheres, balances right and left hand co-ordination and has been proven to enhance the Alpha state and release stress and tension.

The effect of enjoying learning new skills and working together through drumming enables people to focus clearly, sustain concentration and experience the moment.

Participating in a drum circle promotes a sense of community and belonging. Drumming together breaks across barriers of age, gender, culture, disability and language.

Drumming is a non-verbal form of communication and can enhance self-esteem and confidence. It is a cooperative, non-competitive form of interaction and promotes creative expression for individuals as well as the whole group.

Drumming is great fun!
